Who we are
The Ink Co. (“we”, “us”) runs www.theinkco.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to design@theinkco.com.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and run the site:
- Information you send us: your name, email address, the services you select, an optional budget range and your project details when you use the project form or email us.
- Privacy-friendly analytics: pages viewed, referring site, country, and device and browser type, collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, doesn’t fingerprint your device, and doesn’t track you across sites.
- Basic server logs: our hosting provider records IP addresses and request details for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To reply to your request, prepare quotes and deliver the work you hire us for.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To protect the site against spam, fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
Cookies
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics are cookie-free, so there is nothing to accept or decline.
If you change settings in the accessibility panel, such as text size or high contrast, your choices are saved in your browser’s local storage so they stay the same on your next visit. They are never sent to us. You can clear them with the panel’s Reset button.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Netlify, for website hosting and form handling.
- Cloudflare, for security, performance and cookie-free analytics.
- Email, accounting and file-delivery tools we use to work with clients.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
Project inquiries that don’t become projects are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept as long as needed for the work and for tax and legal requirements. Cloudflare keeps analytics data in aggregate form, without identifying you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California under the CCPA/CPRA, you can ask to know what personal information we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of any sale or sharing (we don’t do either). We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email design@theinkco.com or call (562) 659-5835. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we respond within 45 days.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and we limit access to personal information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
